But, there?s also the sad reality that 50% of marriages end in divorce. This is a staggering statistic. But, what is more astonishing is that those statistics do not dissuade love, romance or marriage. Divorced men and women often find love again, and many marry again. Love, romance, and weddings continue. Why? As a kid I enjoyed many hours of play with my friends, cousins, and siblings. We would perform our very own fairy tale weddings. We would dress up as a princess, a queen, or a bride. Some weddings were grand events. Others were intimate gatherings. The joy of this was that YOUR wedding could be anything your heart desired. In our ?make believe? world, all of us would experience the delight of being chosen the bride or groom, the king or queen, the prince or princess. We were fascinated with the idea of being royalty. And we never seemed to grow tired of exploring this dream in our hearts. Could it be that our pretend play reveals an innate longing ? a craving inside all of us to be chosen, to be loved, to be cherished, to be special, to be pursued, and to be enjoyed by someone? To Be Desired Is Powerful It?s exhilarating, energizing, and motivating. We long to hear these words, ?Will you marry me?? What happens in your heart when you hear those words? Naturally, you feel desired. You feel chosen. You feel enjoyed. You feel valued. You feel special. Why? In The Beginning Before creation, the heart of God passionately desired relationship. He had a plan to create men and women who would choose to receive His love and to love Him in return by their own choice. God?s heart was full of desire, affection, pleasure and delight when He made YOU. You were made in His likeness and in His image (Genesis 1:26, 27) You were created with the capacity to have intimate relationship with God. This is a staggering truth about who you are! Think about this ?God, who made billions of galaxies, used His wisdom and power to create you with the capacity to intimately relate to Him. Consider This? Who is the most powerful man or woman in history? And, how did they use their power? Sadly, most use their power to make servants, slaves or to deceive, manipulate, demand harshly, and control us. And how does the Creator of everything you see and can?t see use His power? He created YOU! Love Is Not Love Without A Choice Therefore, because of God?s love for you He created you with dignity and worth and He will never violate your free will. God never uses his power to abuse, enslave or force us to love Him. He will never make you say yes to Him. The Original Plan In God?s Heart For You Adam and Eve were made in the image and likeness of God. They were created to live in intimate fellowship with God in paradise, and enjoy the greatest of human pleasures. Through their own choice sin and death entered the world. Consequently, the intimate relationship that Adam and Eve enjoyed was suddenly injured by guilt and shame over their sin. Did God have a plan? Absolutely! John 3:16 says it best, ?For God loved YOU so much that He gave His only son that whoever would believe in Him would not perish (live separated from their Creator) AND would have eternal life? (live in intimate relationship with God forever). You are loved by God. The angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream and said, ??.The child who has been conceived in Mary is of the Holy Spirit. She will have a son and you will call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins?. There Is No Greater Love Than This God gave His only son, Jesus, who came from heaven to earth in the lowliest, most humble conditions on earth, to live among us. Why? Because, He knew something about your design that you did not know. You Were Not Made To Live Separated From Your Creator Jesus? last prayer before He went to the cross was ?Father, I desire. I want to be with them. I want them to be with me? (John 17:24). Jesus asked His Father for a bride. Can you feel the desire in His heart for you? You are desired by God! God Has Affectionate Desire For You God described His joy, ??as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you? (Isaiah 62:5). God rejoices over you! Hosea was the first person to speak about the reality that Jesus, the Messiah, is a bridegroom. Hosea said, ?It will come about in that day, declares the Lord, that you will call me husband?.I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in love and kindness and in compassion, And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, then you will know the Lord?. (Hosea 2:16, 19-29). The Kingdom Of God Is Led By A Messiah Who Is A Bridegroom ?He who has the bride is the bridegroom...? (John 3:29) Jesus said, ?? the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son?? (Matthew 22:2). Jesus, the Messiah, is a bridegroom. His heart motivation is that of a bridegroom. He has affectionate desire for you. You?re His inheritance, His eternal companion, and His love for you has been burning in His heart from the beginning. Ephesians 3:9 tells us that this MYSTERY was hidden in the heart of God for ages. This Bridegroom will do whatever it takes to win your heart with His great love, compassion, tenderness, and righteousness. You will call Him husband, lover, protector, provider, and shepherd of your heart. He gives you security, blessings, provision, safety ? a place of enduring comfort and hope. Unique Weddings For Unique People
Themed wedding are a great alternative to the more traditional wedding. They are perfect for couples who find most weddings to be stuffy and boring. A themed wedding can be as casual and light hearted as you want. Chances are, you guests will not soon forget your wedding. When planning a themed wedding, consider what you and your partner have in common. Is there anything that either one of you are particularly passionate about? Often times, you are able to work your passion into the theme of the wedding. There are many great ideas out there for a themed wedding. A Roaring Twenties wedding can be a fun and exciting time. You could incorporate swing music into the wedding. The wedding dress could be based on the 1920's era. Maybe the 1920's are less to your liking, then maybe consider a 1960's wedding. Guests will love the peace signs, psychedelic colors and flowers strewn about. If the couple are sports fans, then perhaps a sports themed wedding is in order. The groomsmen could dress in their favorite sports uniforms, while the bridesmaids can dress as cheerleaders. You could also incorporate the wedding theme into the party favors. For instance, you could give out baseballs or hockey pucks. Another idea for a themed wedding is a Fairyland wedding. The bride could easily add wings to her dress, while the guests dress in various mythical creatures. Hawaiian themed weddings are a fun way to go. Both the bridal party and wedding guests can dress in Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and fresh leis. For decorations, you could have a few surfboards strategically placed. Tropical drinks served in coconuts would be a huge hit with your guests. Perhaps a pirate themed wedding is more to your liking. You could decorate the reception hall to resemble a deck of a ship or an old saloon. You could add hooks for hands, peg legs and eye patches to your attire. Wedding gifts could easily be stored in a treasure chest. With a Stars Wars Wedding, Princess Leia could marry Han Solo. The best man could dress up as Chewbacca, while the couple is married by Darth Vader. If you are a Star Trek fan, you could have your wedding on the bridge of the Enterprise. The best man could be dressed as Mr. Spock, while one of the groomsmen dresses as Chekhov, Scotty and Sulu. You could have your wedding reception resemble an interplanetary meeting of Romulans, Klingons, Vulcans and Andorians. Perhaps Lord of the Rings is more your style. You could dress up as Arwen and Aragorn and get married. You could have the wizard Gandalf perform the ceremony, while children play the part of little hobbits. When it comes to a themed wedding, the possibilities are endless. Your imagination is your only limitation. So if you are a fun spirited person, go with it and have a fun themed wedding. Non-Alcoholic Weddings: A Valid Alternative
For many people, weddings are synonymous with two words: open bar. For receptions, it's a common expectation that liquor will be free-flowing, and not only champagne, but fancy mixed drinks and top-shelf alcohol. When planning our own wedding, my husband-to-be and I chose to take the road less traveled and have a non-alcoholic reception. I'd grown up watching crowds of people drinking at weddings, people who'd then promptly get into their cars to drive back to their homes, often quite a distance away. It had always occurred to me, too, how easily one of those guests, potentially a beloved family member, could get into an accident. Late at night, with too much alcohol in their system, it seemed a recipe for disaster. With my own wedding approaching, it made our decision very easy. We, ourselves, weren't really drinkers. So we chose to have a non-alcoholic wedding. I told this to one of my coworkers, who remarked, "Well then why would anyone come?" Instead of making me rethink my decision, it made me angry. Why would anyone come? How about to celebrate my marriage, to share a special occasion with family? How about because I meant something to them? If the only reason people were coming to my wedding was liquor, I told her, then they could go ahead and stay home then. Of course, it does raise the question: is it really possible to choose to have a non-alcoholic wedding reception and not alienate all your guests? For some people, recovering alcoholics, for example, a non-alcoholic reception is a must. There are those, too, whose religion forbids liquor. For others, it may be a matter of budgetary concerns. Alcohol is expensive, and the per-head cost for a reception goes up significantly with the addition of an open bar. Many young couples these day are paying for their own weddings, and the need for frugality is essential. There are others, still, for whom it's more a question of personal preference, or a strict moral code. For us, it was primarily a matter of responsibility. Neither my husband-to-be nor I was comfortable with supplying an endless flow of liquor and then having the imbibers driving home. It was a feeling that, should anything happen, we would be ultimately responsible. Our wedding turned out wonderful. I'm quite sure there were many people who weren't happy with our choice to go non-alcoholic, but nobody voiced such a thing. And for the most part, everybody respected our wishes. So yes, I believe it is possible to have a non-alcoholic reception and not alienate your guests. These days, there are many options that make the absence of alcohol at a wedding less of an issue. Many reception halls are happy to set up virgin tropical drink stations that will mix up an array of fancy, non-alcoholic concoctions. Plus, very often, reception halls have bars outside of the actual reception room, so those who simply must have their drinks can go and purchase one on their own. It's also not just a black and white issue. Those planning a wedding can choose to serve liquor only at a cocktail hour prior to dinner, so there will be plenty of time for the alcohol to work its way out of the system of those drinking before they get into cars to drive home. There's also the possibility of keeping the champagne toast so that people will still get a little taste of something stronger. Ultimately, a wedding belongs to the bride and groom. Whatever makes you the most comfortable and will make your wedding the best it can be, that's the choice you should make. Those who love you and want to celebrate your special day will respect and honor your wishes. Resolved Question: How do you find a consignment shop with resale for a plus size wedding dress that still has a tag.?
I purchased a wedding gown for my daughter and she found a different dress that she liked. So we purchased that dress and now I have a brand new dress that I want to sell and I am having a hard time narrowing down a shop that will purchase s item in question. If I could narrow down a consignment shop(s) that specializes in this type of item for resale I would gladly appreciate it.
Resolved Question: Where can I get a quality plus sized wedding dress for a low price?
Most bridal magazines show dresses but never where you can get them. I don't want to go to a "boutique" where I have to wait 3-4 months for the dress to come in only for it to be wrong. Not everybody is a size 10 and if you want to make a rude comment, keep it to yourself. I am looking for real help. Thanks.

I purchased a wedding gown for my daughter and she found a different dress that she liked. So we purchased that dress and now I have a brand new dress that I want to sell and I am having a hard time narrowing down a shop that will purchase s item in question. If I could narrow down a consignment shop(s) that specializes in this type of item for resale I would gladly appreciate it.
